Kristin Sosanie is a communications expert & Democratic strategist driving impact in the states.

Kristin Sosanie is a strategic communications leader who helps candidates, organizations, and movements break through, connect, and win in the states. Known for as much for her scrappy and snarky opposition work as she is for her proactive storytelling, Kristin has has helped build brands, shift public opinion, strengthen coalitions, drive policy change, and deliver electoral wins across the country.

As the founder of Impulsion Strategies, Kristin is the go-to partner for bridging the gap between national strategy and state-level reality. Having worked at every layer of the political ecosystem, Kristin excels at translating big-picture values into messages that reflect the lived experiences of voters in across communities. She delivers expert communications guidance as well as hands-on execution to create the messaging, earned media, strategy and infrastructure necessary to build and sustain momentum.

Prior to starting Impulsion Strategies, Kristin spent 7 years at a mid-size award-winning PR agency guiding visionary entrepreneurs at some of the fastest-growing companies. Before that, she dedicated over a decade to leading communications for presidential campaigns, national committees, state Democratic parties and campaigns up and down the ballot — building deep experience in the Midwest, South, and Northeast. Kristin started her career on Capitol Hill with the US House Agriculture Committee, helping the Democratic majority communicate across regional, partisan, and policy divides.

Kristin was named one of the 40 under 40 top political consultants by the American Association of Political Consultants in 2025. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Communications and a Master’s degree in Political Management from The George Washington University.

When not at work, Kristin is likely either walking her dog, riding a horse, or getting far too invested in the outcome of a New York Rangers hockey game.
